All At Sea by Pepper Ellison | Book Blitz and Giveaway

Title: All At Sea

Author: Pepper Ellison

Release Date: July 15th, 2015

I love me a good romance, and who can pass up one set in Hawaii with an Australian love interest? It’s ticking all the boxes! The story is told through text messages and emails, I loved Love, Rosie a whole lot, so I’d like to see Pepper Ellison’s take on the text/email situation.

Description from Goodreads:
When eighteen year-old American Amelia Beauchamp arrives in Honolulu for a three-month stay on her family’s yacht, the only thing on her mind is conquering her fear of water and hopefully – for once in her life – making a few friends. The last thing she expects is to fall for cocky surf instructor, Kody Murdock.

Twenty two year-oldKody has fled Australia. Cody’s not looking for love, he’s not looking for a hook-up, he just wants to surf. But when pale, awkward Amelia comes walking down the beach he can’t help but think she’s kind of adorable. The pair strike up a complicated friendship.

Can these two people from different worlds find a way to interact without strangling each other? And what, or whom, is Kody running from?

A surfer romance told through text messages and emails, All At Sea will appeal to fans of Meg Cabot’s The Boy Next Door and Alyson Noel’s Laguna Cove.

Fighting against an overbearing family, she’ll learn to not only follow her own dreams, but stand up for something she believes in.

Marcus has been waiting his whole life for a woman who could see through the horrors he’d been through as a child, and the humour he uses to mask it all. Now that he’s found her, he’s not quite sure what comes next.

“You’ve got a nice space here.” He looked out at her view. The boardwalk was below them and he watched for a moment as people strolled by. Beyond that was a long strip of beach and then the emerald water. It was a calm day and barely any waves rippled the water, which made it look green for as far as the eye could see.
He turned and noticed that some soft strands of her blonde hair had fallen around her face. She had either forgotten to put on makeup that morning or had very little on. Her skin looked so soft, he itched to reach out and touch it. His eyes roamed over her and he couldn’t deny the sudden and powerful tug he got from looking at her curves. She was taller than most women he’d dated. He gauged her height around five-eight. The old jeans she was wearing were snug in all the right places, making him wish he could run his hands over those long legs.
When she turned her eyes toward him, catching him in his assessment of her, he couldn’t stop the smile.
“Beautiful view,” he said, softly.

Only Ever Yours | Book Blitz and Giveaway

Only Ever Yours by Louise O’Neil
Released May 12th 2015
389 Pages

Description from Goodreads:

Where women are created for the pleasure of men, beauty is the first duty of every girl. In Louise O’Neil’s world of Only Ever Yours women are no longer born naturally, girls (called “eves”) are raised in Schools and trained in the arts of pleasing men until they come of age. Freida and Isabel are best friends.
Now, aged sixteen and in their final year, they expect to be selected as companions – wives to powerful men. All they have to do is ensure they stay in the top ten beautiful girls in their year. The alternatives, life as a concubine, or a chastity (teaching endless generations of girls),  are too horrible to contemplate. But as the intensity of final year takes hold, the pressure to be perfect mounts. Isabel starts to self-destruct, putting her beauty, her only asset, in peril. And then into this sealed female environment, the boys arrive, eager to choose a bride. Freida must fight for her future, even it means betraying the only friend, the only love, she has ever known.

Advanced Praise for Only Ever Yours

“Terrifying and heartbreaking, O’Neil’s story reads like and heir to Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale and M. T. Anderson’s Feed, and, like those books, it’s sure to be discussed for years to come.” — Publisher’s Weekly (Starred Review)
“A dark dream. A vivid nightmare. The world O’Neil imagines is frightening because it could come true. She writes with a scalpel.” — Jeanette Winterson
“An ingenious exploration of gender roles, female identity, and female competition.” — Buzzfeed
“Unbelievably believable, compelling, utterly riveting… Whilst it is dark, uncompromising and utterly daunting to read as a woman, it is and should be a classic in the making.” — Liz Loves Books
